About the Role:

We are looking for a Risk Analyst to join our international team and take a key role in designing and managing risk strategies for a new digital financial product in the Mexican market. In this position, you will work closely with product, analytics, and credit teams to develop data-driven risk approaches, ensure sustainable portfolio growth, and directly influence business outcomes. If you are passionate about using data to solve complex problems and have hands-on experience in retail banking or fintech, this role will offer you a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact from day one.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage credit cards origination strategy

  • Define and optimize cutoff strategies

  • Manage credit limits and related risk parameters

  • Monitor and forecast portfolio risk metrics (risk costs, vintage NPL, etc.)

  • Support data-driven decision making by transforming financial results into measurable risk metrics

Job requirements

  • English level: B1–B2 (Upper-Intermediate) — able to read technical documentation, write emails, and actively engage in discussions and meetings

  • Spanish — a significant plus

  • Degree from a top university in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or another analytical discipline

  • 2+ years of experience in risk analysis, finance, retail banking, or fintech

  • Solid understanding of financial mathematics, including how P&L components translate into risk metrics

  • Basic knowledge of machine learning and its practical application in credit risk
