Job description

At NOVACARD, we’re redefining how people use credit. We are the first interest-free and no-annual-fee credit card in Mexico, designed to simplify personal finances and give users complete control - all from a mobile app. With NOVACARD, users can access up to $200,000 MXN in credit, only pay when they use it, and manage everything digitally in under 5 minutes. Our mission is to empower people to make smarter financial decisions by offering flexibility, transparency, and the freedom they need to reach their goals. Simple finances, big goals.

About the Role:
We are looking for a strong Product Leader to own the client experience in our mobile application. You will have full accountability for the app’s design quality, end-to-end customer journeys (CJM), and the usability of every touchpoint. This role requires someone who can think in metrics and interface details simultaneously, building the product around real customer needs. You will shape the strategy, lead design execution, and drive measurable improvements in activation, conversion, and engagement. The role is based in Mexico, with remote flexibility and business trips when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobile Experience Strategy: Define and evolve the UX/UI strategy for the mobile app, prioritizing simplicity, speed, and intuitive navigation that aligns with the needs of Near Prime customers.

  • Customer Journey Design: Architect and optimize end-to-end customer journeys within the app — from onboarding and first use to regular product interaction, limit management, and repeat transactions. Own the CJM across all touchpoints.

  • Product Metrics & User Behavior: Analyze in-app user behavior (funnels, screen flows, usage scenarios). Track and improve conversion rates for key actions (activation, product application, repeat visits) and identify interface bottlenecks through data.

  • Design Process Leadership: Partner closely with UX/UI designers. Set clear tasks, ensure high quality of mockups and prototypes, facilitate user testing, and maintain design consistency across all app features.

  • Ecosystem Integrations: Design seamless interaction scenarios between the mobile app and other company products and services, ensuring a unified and effortless customer experience within the broader ecosystem.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in tight alignment with product teams, engineering, analytics, legal, and marketing to deliver a consistent and compliant user experience.

  • Continuous Improvement: Build and maintain a backlog of UX/UI enhancements based on data insights, customer feedback, market benchmarking, and company strategic goals.

Job requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience in product management for mobile applications (fintech, e-commerce, or consumer services) at an Upper Senior level, with direct ownership of UX/UI outcomes.

  • Deep understanding of customer-centric design principles and the ability to balance user needs with business goals, risk constraints, and technical feasibility.

  • Upper-intermediate English or higher (both spoken and written) — required for communication with international teams and headquarters.

  • Strong analytical skills: ability to work with mobile analytics, funnels, heatmaps, and user session data to drive decisions.

  • Excellent taste in product design, attention to visual and interaction detail, and the ability to recognize what makes an interface truly user-friendly.

  • Out-of-the-box thinking, flexibility, and capacity to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment.

  • Advanced soft skills: clear communication, empathy, and the ability to inspire designers and engineers around a shared product vision.

What We Offer

  • Remote or hybrid work format, with business trips as required.

  • Official employment under local labor law; contractor arrangements available for candidates from other countries.

  • The chance to define the mobile experience for a strategically important Near Prime segment in Mexico, impacting thousands of customers daily.

  • A data-informed, design-driven culture that values experimentation, user feedback, and continuous improvement.

  • Close collaboration with local and international teams, with full ownership of the mobile product experience and its business outcomes.
