About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Head of Risk Portfolio to lead our risk strategy for a new digital credit card product in the Mexican market. You will manage a team of analysts and data scientists, drive portfolio performance, and apply data-driven insights to optimize credit origination, limits, and risk metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the credit card origination strategy

  • Set and monitor credit limits, ensuring portfolio quality and growth

  • Lead and develop a team of analysts and data scientists

  • Monitor and predict key portfolio metrics: risk costs, vintage NPL, CoR, Roll Rate

  • Drive budgeting and forecasting (CoR, provisions, unit economics)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align risk strategy with business objectives

Job requirements

Key Requirements:

  • English level — B2 (Upper-Intermediate): confident reading of technical documentation, professional correspondence, and participation in meetings and discussions in English

  • Degree from a top university in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or a related analytical field

  • 5+ years of experience in retail banking or fintech in credit card risk management

  • Proven experience in leading and developing data teams

  • Strong understanding of risk metrics (vintages, NPL, CoR, roll rates) with ability to forecast and manage them

  • Knowledge of credit card economics, including P&L and unit economics

  • Experience applying machine learning principles to approval and limit management processes
