Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Finance Manager to lead and strengthen our financial operations in Mexico. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, compliance, and treasury functions, while partnering closely with leadership to support business growth and decision-making.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial expertise with startup or financial services experience, and a proven ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the organization’s planning and budgeting cycles
• Analyze financial performance vs. budget and discuss results with local and regional leadership
• Oversee and coordinate financial and accounting reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Coordinate the analysis of financial KPIs to define short- and long-term action plans
• Analyze unit costs and operating expenses, providing feedback to business areas for better resource allocation
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of information for external audits
• Prepare monthly financial statements and performance reports (actuals, budget, forecast, trends)
• Present financial information to General Management and executive teams at regional and group levels
• Oversee accounting policies, expense control, and safeguarding of company assets
• Manage treasury functions
• Coordinate intercompany operations (local and international), ensuring tax and financial compliance
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations and implementation of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
• Lead financial statement consolidation processes at local, regional, and corporate levels
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to ensure liquidity and optimize cash management
• Oversee tax management, including tax planning and regulatory compliance
• Implement robust internal controls to ensure transparency and mitigate financial risks
• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to align financial strategy with business objectives

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
• Experience in financial services, lending, or fintech environments
• Experience working in startup or high-growth companies
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations in Mexico
• MBA or relevant advanced degree

• Experience in SOFOM (Multi-Purpose Financial Company)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (postgraduate degree or MBA preferred)
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Finance, including team leadership
• Advanced English (required) for interaction with regional and corporate teams
